On September 22nd CASSON celebrated our anniversary with a party at our new POP UP! Friends, coworkers, and design professionals stopped by to grab a bite, look at the new collections, and reconnect at our installation hosted in a converted shipping container.

Geary, once voted Toronto's ugliest street, has transformed into a creative hub, for artists, designers, architects and culinary delights. For the last few years, CASSON has a studio space at the corner of Geary and Dovercourt, and with it's new design-minded Pop Up, CASSON is yet again paving the way with another industrial conversion.
"We've been in the neighbourhood for so long, but people aren't able to see us!" says co-founder Jane Son. When she realized there was a converted container perfect for a pop up, she jumped at the opportunity. "It's so nice to have a display and introduce ourselves to the community" co-founder Megan Cassidy continues.
Previous pop-ups were held in a moving van, literally popping up at studios across Toronto. This time in the newly converted shipping container featuring gallery walls and picture windows, CASSON presented its inaugural in-house line BENDE, and showcased items from Danish d line and work by local fabricators.

Hosted in an upscaled industrial space, guests came by to see our curated collection of hardware and fixtures. Reem Weeb, CASSON's sales associate, greeted guests and explained the collections on display. The first 100 to arrive received a limited edition CASSON tote filled with goodies including information on our catalogue and chocolate from Cambridge, Ontario based chocolatier Reid's Chocolate.
Outside, seltzer from Toronto-based Geeze Louise and empanadas from neighbour Gaucho Pie Company were served while a DJ played the hits. After, guests could cross the street and enjoy a mini cone by Good Behaviour. As the sun set, close and new friends followed the CASSON team to local brewery Blood Brothers to cap off the night.
The installation Pop Up will be running until January, with rotating displays featuring our new and favourites from our catalogue. "We're so excited to be able to display such beautiful items were so proud of to people passing by!" says Son.
