The Invisible Plate Rotary Dimmer by Forbes & Lomax is a transparent acrylic rotary dimmer — push to switch on/off, rotate to dim and brighten. Available in 1- to 4-gang configurations. The Invisible line was inspired by the glass plates of the 1930s, designed to showcase unique wall treatments such as wallpaper and lime wash. Each unit includes two wall plates: a clear lucite top plate and a white metal backplate. When installed over stone or tile, the white metal backplate may require faux painting to blend with the surface.

Established in 1987, Forbes & Lomax is a UK-based heritage electrical brand recognized by architects and designers for refined switch and outlet design.

Rotary dimmers, toggle switches, and push buttons can be configured on the same plate. To guarantee compatibility — especially with higher wattage lights, drivers, or non-replaceable LEDs — email or upload light specifications before purchase.

Important Notes
All dimmers are supplied as 3-way; can be used as single-pole. Only one dimmer per 3-way or 4-way circuit — other locations require non-dimming toggle switches.
LED dimmers are forward-phase TRIAC. On-board programming enables adjustment of min/max dimming levels. Follow "optimizing your dimmer" instructions after installation and apply the child lock to retain settings.
Not all LED fixtures are compatible. Contact us with light fixture specs to confirm compatibility.
Must be installed by a licensed electrician. Units install into standard junction boxes — boxes must be recessed below the finished wall surface by at least 1/8". Verify recess depth before ordering.
