Handing makes sure your indicator lock installs on the correct side of the partition door and operates smoothly.

1. Stand on the outside of the stall

Handing is always determined from the outside—the public side of the partition.

2. Check which side the hinges are on

While facing the outside of the door:

• Hinges on the left? Select Left Hand (LH)

• Hinges on the right? Select Right Hand (RH)

3. Confirm the door swing

Most partition doors swing inward, but if yours swings out, the handing still follows the same rule:
Outside view + hinge side = handing.
