Dan Dryer

The washroom, reconsidered.

Founded in Randers, Denmark in 1980, Dan Dryer has spent four decades refining a room most manufacturers treat as utility. The studio works from a different premise: the fittings we touch most often deserve the same design attention as the architecture that holds them. Each piece is designed and manufactured in Denmark in stainless steel, powder-coated steel, and brushed finishes chosen to weather the quiet wear of daily use. Objects are shaped for the hand first, the room second — most visibly in the BJÖRK hand dryer, recognized with a Red Dot Design Award for its sculptural presence.

A Dan Dryer washroom reads as a composition. Hand dryer, soap dispenser, and sanitary bin share proportion and finish, allowing a project to speak in a single material language from threshold to basin — restraint that brings architectural weight to an overlooked part of the plan.
