Description
The FritsJurgens Axle Wrench is required for installing any door fitted with a System M or System M+ pivot hinge. It rotates the oval spindle in the bottom pivot 90° to the open position, which is necessary before the door can be hung. The arrow on the spindle must point toward the closing side of the door.
How It Works
During installation, the Axle Wrench engages the oval spindle at the base of the System M/M+ bottom pivot. Rotating the spindle 90° places the system in its open (installation-ready) position. Once the door is mounted and aligned, the wrench is removed and the system operates under its own hydraulic control.
For projects involving frequent installations (door manufacturers, high-volume installers), an optional floor plate (art. 400701, sold separately) can be mounted to the Axle Wrench for added stability during repeated use.

About FritsJurgens Pivot Systems
FritsJurgens pivot systems are concealed inside the door and floor, with no visible frame or overhead closer. All systems use a bottom pivot, top pivot, ceiling plate, and floor plate. The right system depends on your door weight, whether you need self-closing, and how much control you want over door movement.

How to Choose
System ONE is a free-swing pivot with no self-closing and no hold positions. The door stays wherever it is left. Supports doors up to 500 kg with full 360° revolving capability. The simplest system in the FritsJurgens line — ideal when no closing force or position control is needed.
System M+ is the full-control system. Self-closes from up to 125°, with adjustable damping on opening and closing, a 30° slow-close zone, and Latch Control to ensure proper latching. Supports doors from 20 kg to 500 kg across eight weight classes. The right choice for most residential and commercial applications.
System FX combines free-swing movement with strong hold positions at 0°, 90°, 180°, and 270°. Opens in both directions and supports 360° revolving, but does not self-close. Suited to passages and open-plan spaces where the door needs to stay open.
All systems require milling into the door for the bottom pivot body. Floor plate options are shared across systems and can be surface-mounted or recessed into the sill.

Pre-drilling or pre-milling for hardware components is not recommended until all items are received and measured.
