The Rene Range by Vervloet brings together the hand-forged Rene door lever, dummy door knob, knob / hook and thumb turn, slim, sculptural forms inspired by the designer's tobacco pipe.

Designed by Jean-François D'Or for Vervloet. Whimsical and sculptural, a wink to surrealist artist Magritte, the line reflects D'Or's utilitarian vision with a discrete sense of poetry and subtle lines reminiscent of 1920s design.

Door Lever

Levers and knobs are sold individually, per side of the door.
Door hardware installs on a euro mortise lock case; doors should not be pre-bored.
For wall hook installation, the Rene Knob / Hook requires a double-threaded screw.
The dummy door knob is non-operating.

Important: European roses are typically smaller than standard North American models, with many measuring approximately 50 mm in diameter. Rose sizes can vary by brand and range, so please review all dimensions carefully. These handles may not fit existing or pre-bored door holes without adjustments.

Solid brass, hand-forged and hand-finished in Belgium. Offered in the Vervloet finish range, including polished and brushed brass, polished and brushed nickel, oil rubbed bronze and midnight black; additional finishes by special order. All finishes are lacquered for durability. Finish availability can vary by piece and will be confirmed with your quote.

How Vervloet is configured

Levers or knobs: sold individually, per side of the door.
Roses or rosettes: sold separately. Order one rose per lever or knob.
Thumb turn & emergency release: sold as separate Vervloet components in matching collection finishes.

Latch / lock body: Vervloet hardware installs on a euro mortise lock case, sized to your door.

Function (specify per door)

Passage — unlocked operation for halls, closets, and openings that don't require privacy.
Privacy — interior locking via thumb turn, typical for bathrooms and bedrooms.
Keyed Entry — paired with a CES euro profile cylinder for exterior or secured doors.
Dummy — non-operating, surface-mounted for inactive doors or closet pulls.

Vervloet

Hand-finished in Brussels since 1905.

Vervloet has made door, window and cabinet hardware in Brussels since 1905. Every piece is cast in solid brass and finished by hand in the family atelier, one of the last of its kind in Europe, and a holder of the Belgian Royal Warrant.

Studio Vervloet collections are developed with independent architects and designers, including Vincent Van Duysen, Stijn D'Hondt, Bruno Erpicum, Pierre Daems and Glenn Sestig. The Maison Vervloet collections, including Audrey, Bubbles, Rene, Stardust, Tools and Tibou, carry the atelier's signature forms. Each is a complete system of levers, knobs, pulls and accessories, drawn from a single idea about line and proportion.

Finishes are applied by hand across brass, bronze, nickel and black. Frozen finishes are lacquered to hold their expression. Living finishes are left open to patinate with use, climate and time.
