The Prado 15A and 20A Unifit Hardwired Outlet is a modular power solution designed for seamless installation into drywall, wood, or stone. Unlike the corded version, the hardwired model requires a junction box and is directly wired into the electrical system for a permanent, code-compliant solution. Each unit pairs a hardwired outlet insert with a customizable cover plate to match your selected amperage and finish.

Part of Prado’s vision for “invisible home technology,” the Unifit series introduces a sleek, unobtrusive power solution that blends effortlessly into modern interiors. Designed for professional and residential applications, this outlet features adjustable lugs for a precise fit, tamper-resistant safety, and a flush or surface-mounted finish to accommodate various design needs.

Crafted in Belgium with meticulous attention to detail, the Prado Unifit Hardwired Outlet is ETL-certified for North America and patent pending—ensuring superior safety, durability, and style.

Upgrade your space with the Prado Unifit Hardwired Outlet—where smart technology meets refined design.

The corded outlet model is available here.

Flush Mounting - Wood & Stone

✔ Best for: Wood, Stone, or Solid Surfaces
Look: Sits completely flush with the surface
Installation:

  • Material must be countersunk to 38mm (1.5") depth to accommodate the outlet body and cover plate.
  • This creates a seamless, recessed finish.
  • Not suitable for drywall, as it lacks the structural integrity for a countersunk installation.

Surface Mounting - Drywall

Best for: Drywall Installations
Look: Sits 2.5mm (0.1") above the wall surface
Installation:

  • Drywall installations will always be surface-mounted (cannot be recessed).
  • We strongly recommend using the Prado Junction Box Cover Plate (sold separately) to:
    • Reinforce the mounting surface
    • Prevent movement over time
    • Ensure long-term installation stability
  • For a more refined surface-mounted appearance, we recommend using a Trim Ring (sold separately) to:
    • Create a seamless visual transition between the outlet and the wall.
    • Conceal any minor imperfections around the drilled hole.
    • Provide a polished, intentional look, especially in drywall applications.

Required for All Installations

  • Junction Box Requirement
    • A junction box is required for all installations.
    • In drywall applications, a junction box cover plate is recommended to reinforce the installation and prevent shifting when plugging/unplugging devices.
  • Electrical Connection
    • The hardwired outlet must be wired to a dedicated branch circuit.
    • This means it cannot be daisy-chained with other outlets and must have its own direct wiring from the panel or a separate electrical source.
    • Prado Outlet Insert (Hardwired)
    • Prado Outlet Cover Plate
(Automatically added to cart based on variant selection)

    • For Drywall Installations: The Prado Drywall Reinforcement Junction Box Cover Plate is required and must be selected in the variant options for it to be added to cart.

For custom quotes, please specify the amperage, finish, and outlet style (corded or hardwired) and installation material to ensure accurate pricing and product selection.

    • Tamper Resistant: For enhanced safety, all Unifit outlets feature a tamper-resistant design, identifiable by the "TR" mark on the module face.
    • Amperage Selection Required: When selecting 15A or 20A during product style selection, the corresponding cover plate options will be automatically displayed and added to your cart based on your choice.
    • Trim Rings Sold Separately: Trim rings can be purchased here. In addition to providing a refined look, they help conceal any imperfections from drilling, ensuring a clean and professional finish.

    • Easy Installation: No special tools are needed for installation or removal, ensuring a streamlined setup.
    • Application: Designed for drywall (with junction box cover plate), wood, and stone installations
    • Panel Cut-Out: 34.9mm (1.37”) diameter hole
    • Panel Thickness Compatibility: Adjustable from 6.3mm (0.25") to 34.9mm (1.37”) with patented adjustable lugs
    • Electrical Rating: Compatible with both 15A and 20A – 125V
    • Cabling: Screw terminals; junction box required for secure hardwired installation
    • Cover Plate: Required (included with variant selection)
    • Certification: ETL approved for the U.S. and Canada
    • Other Features: Tamper resistant, patent pending
    Drill
    • For wood or stone: Drill a 34.9mm (1.37”) hole. If flush mounting, countersink the hole to 38mm (1.5") depth for a seamless finish.
    • For drywall: Drill a 34.9mm (1.37”) hole and install the junction box cover plate behind the surface for added stability. Countersinking is not possible for drywall.
    Connect
    • Connect the outlet to the appropriate wiring in the junction box, following standard electrical installation guidelines.
    Position (Drywall Only)
    • Ensure a standard 1-gang or 2-gang junction box is securely installed.
    • Align the Prado Junction Box Cover Plate over the junction box before finishing the drywall.
    Fixate
    • For wood/stone: Secure the outlet using the adjustable lugs, ensuring it is flush-mounted if a countersink was created.
    • For drywall: Secure the outlet using the junction box cover plate, ensure the outlet is stable before finalizing installation.
    Finish
    • Attach the cover plate to complete the installation.
    • If desired, add a trim ring (sold separately) to conceal any exposed drill edges and enhance the finished look.
