Description

Forbes & Lomax’s Invisible Plate Toggle Switches and Rotary Dimmers push to switch on and off and rotate to dim and brighten. The Invisible line was inspired by the glass plates of the 1930s and was designed to showcase unique wall treatments, such as wallpaper and lime wash.

Each combination includes two wall plates: a clear lucite top plate and a white metal backplate. When installed with stone or tiles instead of wallpaper, the white metal backplate may require faux painting to blend with the stone.

Rotary Dimmers, Toggle Switches, and Push Buttons can be configured on the same plate for a customized control solution. To guarantee compatibility, especially with higher wattage lights, lights with transformers or drivers, or fixtures with non-replaceable LEDs, please email or upload the light specifications before purchase. Important Notes
  • Toggle switches conform to UL 20 and are certified to CSA C22.2 No.111.
  • Toggle Switches install into standard junction boxes but the boxes must be recessed below the finished wall surface by at least 1/8".
  • Rotary dimmers conform to UL 1472 and are certified to CSA C22.2 No.184.
  • LED dimmers are Forward Phase Triac dimmers, designed to control up to 120W of LED bulbs or 300W of incandescent bulbs.

Unlacquered Polished Brass is a living finish that changes colour over time. Unlacquered Polished Brass has a high-shine, polished look. Lacquered Brushed Brass is a non-living finish and will not change colour.

Note: materials will slowly age or oxidize over time. Wipe clean with a dry, non-abrasive microfiber cloth. Avoid use of chemical or alcohol based cleaners. Refer to the care guide below for best practices.
